In the quaint coastal town of Southport, Maine a wedding unlike any other was about to take place. Southport is known for its working harbor, secret rocky nooks, and the way the ocean whispers secrets to those who listen. This picturesque town was the perfect setting for Nicole and Seth’s wedding.
Nicole and Seth met at a destination wedding in Negril, Jamaica. Nicole was one of the bride’s best friends and Seth was one of the groom’s best friends. The second they met there was an instant connection and they pretty much spent the entire weekend together. Though originally from Maine, Seth was living in Florida at the time and Nicole was still living in Maine. When they left Jamaica, they didn’t know if either of them were really sure they would ever see each other again. Seth booked Nicole a flight to visit him a few weeks later, and in June they were driving from Maine to Florida together in Nicole’s Jeep with all of her stuff! When you know, you know!
The wedding was set for late afternoon, just as the sun began its descent, casting a golden glow over the water. Nicole and Seth had chosen a coastal chic theme, blending the natural beauty of the beach with modern, elegant decor. The ceremony would take place in a adorable classic church nearby. The guests arrived and were greeted by a scene of breathtaking beauty. Nicole appeared, radiant in a flowing, classic chic style gown that seemed to dance with every step. She carried a perfect white bouquet of peonies. As she walked down the aisle with a look of pure joy, Seth couldn’t help but smile. He looked dashing in his black tuxedo style suit.
The officiant, a close friend of the couple, began the ceremony with a few heartfelt words about love and commitment. Nicole and Seth exchanged personal vows and there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience as they promised to love and support each other for the rest of their lives. With a kiss that seemed to seal not just their vows but their souls, Nicole and Seth were pronounced husband and wife. The guests erupted in applause, and the newlyweds walked back down the aisle, hand in hand.
The reception was held at The Newagen Seaside Inn which is a stylish coastal property nearby. Nicole hired Purple Orchid Events to bring her vision of coastal chic to life. The decor was modern using black and white as the primary colors. The centerpieces were a mix of white hydrangeas and peonies, creating a fresh and elegant look. There was a cozy lounge area with white sofas and navy blue pillows, perfect for guests to relax and enjoy the view of the ocean. The dinner was a feast of fresh, local seafood, accompanied by a variety of delicious sides and salads. There was laughter and joy as friends and family shared stories and toasts.
The sound of waves, the crackling fire, and the laughter of friends created a magical atmosphere. Nicole and Seth took a moment to themselves, standing at the water’s edge, watching the moonlight reflect off the waves. They knew that this night was just the beginning of their adventure together. The ocean, their ever-present witness, seemed to whisper its approval. They paused, looking back at the Newagen Seaside Inn, the lights twinkling like stars. Nicole leaned into Seth, her heart full. “This is perfect,” she whispered.
