There are no additional fees. Travel is included, the only exception to this rule is travel is not included in international elopements packages. Hotel stay is also not included and is a required addition to international weddings and select destinations in the USA.
Once you’ve selected your date and we’ve determined your package, I will prepare and send a photography contract for your review. I ask that you return your signed contract within about a week to ensure your date remains available. Once I receive your contract and the 50 percent photography retainer, your wedding date is officially booked! The final balance is due four weeks prior to your wedding date.
I do not offer full video coverage at this time. I highly recommend:
Rising Moon Films https://www.risingmoonfilms.com/
Meg Simone https://megsimone.com/ Media Northeast https://medianortheastweddings.com/ Selah Films https://www.selahfilms.com/
Generally 50-100 per hour of coverage
If an album is included in your collection, you will receive a first draft approximately 8 weeks after receiving your images. I custom design and lay out your album drafts to best narrate your wedding’s beautiful story. When you receive the first draft, you have the opportunity to make revisions. These may include swapping images, omitting spreads or adding spreads. Once you have approved your draft layout, I edit the images for the last time and send you a final PDF to approve before proceeding to production. You can learn more about the albums and handcrafted products here.
I love film, and how it makes everyone slow down and appreciate the moments on your wedding day a bit more. Being confident in both film and digital means I bring digital and film cameras to all shoots and select the best option for each event based on a variety of factors. I use more film during the portraits, prep, and ceremony. Usually focusing more on digital for late evening and low light moments. All film and digital images are processed and cohesively presented together.
I always plan to arrive on location at least the morning prior to the wedding or the first event I'm shooting, and often several days prior for international events. This time frame allows for any travel delays, and gives me time to get acclimated to the area, including scouting the wedding and shooting locations. During scouting, I often begin taking location and “scene” shots, which help narrate the complete story of your wedding. Once I arrive I also like to collect important details like a welcome bag, favors, and the paper suite for photos.
My approach ensures you’ll have more photos than you could ever need or want, but I do recommend bringing to our attention any special people, planned moments, or unique details you’d like to capture that I might not know to anticipate. On your wedding day, please have the rings, dress, shoes, jewelry and any other heirlooms you’d like in the photos in the bridal suite. I will spend the first hour of my coverage shooting your details and then moving on to the final hair/makeup.
Film tends to create even and beautiful creamy skin tones and therefore I have little need for retouching. The final set of images are corrected for color and adjusted for exposure. Individual images that you order as prints from the online gallery or those you’ve selected to appear in an album layout will receive a final image inspection for individual color and exposure adjustments. My preference is for all images to look natural and not like they have been retouched. Any adjustments I make are minimal, leaving your photographs looking clean, beautiful and representative of your celebration. I also offer outsourced professional retouching for more extensive requests. These may include wardrobe, hair and makeup adjustments, head swapping, background alterations or any elements beyond basic retouching at a rate of $150/hour. For this, we will provide a quote for your approval before commissioning any additional work.
I have a very hands-on approach to setting up a wedding day timeline—my goal is to ensure that you have the best natural light for every part of your celebration. I also prefer to help build the timeline together with your planner and designer to give you plenty of time to capture all of your desired portraits and photographs throughout the day with buffers to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience. This is important in order to capture the styled detail shots and portraits, and capturing the moments that happen organically through photojournalistic coverage. The end result yields a beautiful balance of people, details and emotion.
Yes, prints can be ordered directly through the gallery or by contacting me.
I only photograph 10 weddings a year,. This is important to keep my passion and creativity. It also allowed me to be able to give individual attention to each couple.
