I CANNOT WAIT TO MEET YOU BOTH OF YOU!
A bit about me….when I am not behind the camera, I enjoy getting snail mail, eating great local food, tasting what the local breweries are making, going to the beach, hiking, biking, running, and would never pass up a chance to get on a plane to anywhere.
I’ve always been a documenter…at family events, during high school, and even those college parties. I never expected it would become my career. I studied politics in college and I thought I would be a lawyer. Life has a funny way of working out. I consider myself extremely lucky to spend my weekends with amazing people in beautiful places documenting moments.
FAVORITES: FRESH FLOWERS!
One of my favorite parts of summer is going to the local farmers market in Savannah, Ga , and buying farm fresh treats…always finishing with some locally grown flowers!
MORE ABOUT KIVALO

Pictured Left is the “Studio Manager” and the “Intern” affectionately named Resc and Nugs. Resc is the resident greeter….and can commonly be found in one of the office chairs “working” at the computer. Nugs is more commonly found chasing anything and everything around the house. Once exhausted he prefers to lay on the top of whatever paper goods you have on the desk. Resc likes food of all types and random boxes.
Enough enough about me and my “staff” lets talk about why my business is named Kivalo. I wanted to use something particularly meaningful something that captured exactly who I am and how I work.
My dad, who came to the United States from Hungary suggested “kivalo,” which is the Hungarian word for “outstanding” or “excellent.” He also shared with me the family tradition of marking a project with the symbol of a tulip, something he did when he worked on projects with his own father. I learned later that tulips are a traditional Hungarian folk symbol for love and good luck. Being a “daddy’s girl” makes Kivalo particularly meaningful.
